  • Jan. 3 - Grant Workshop - This free seminar will cover information regarding how to apply for a 2019 UCF Grant, and what a UCF grant can be used for. To reserve a spot, please call BCAC at 607-723-4620 or email awarfield@broomearts.org.
  • Jan. 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25 - Phelps Mansion Museum Tours - The museum houses many paintings from many 19th century artists such as Edmund D. Lewis, M. Van Wyck and Harry Roseland. The museum itself is a work of art. Designed by Isaac G. Perry, the museum is open to the public for all to see one of the best examples of Victorian architecture.
  • Jan. 8 - Martin Bidney: Rilke’s Art of Metric Melody - Join us in the BCAC conference space for a public reading and book talk by Martin Bidney. The focus of this reading is Bidney’s Rilke’s Art of Metric Melody. In this volume you’ll find, form-faithfully translated, New Poems I and II (1907–1908), containing 179 works by lyric poet Rainer Maria Rilke (1875–1926).
  • Jan. 13 - Psychic Phil Jordan - Phil Jordan is going to provide an open forum reading from 3pm to 4:30pm, Sunday January 13th. This is a public event. The performance is for the purpose of entertainment and enjoyment of the participants. $25 per person. Reserved Seating Tickets must be purchased in advance.
  • Jan. 17 - Cocktails with Creatives - Cocktails with Creatives Come network, talk shop, collaborate with like minds in a relaxed, low-key atmosphere. Creatives of all genres welcome! Grab your favorite evening beverage and join the conversation.
  • Jan. 26 - Unity of Heaven and Humanity: The Philosophy of Ancient Chinese Arts - Dr. Joey Tsai is an Assistant Professor of Management at Binghamton University’s School of Management. He has a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Management. Before his academic career, he worked for a consulting firm in Asia for three years when he traveled extensively for work and visited many historical and culturally rich cities in Asia including Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Phnom Penh (Myanmar), Tibet, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Seoul, and Tokyo.
  • Jan. 27 Cabaret on Court - Warm your spirits and celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early with Cabaret on Court at Galaxy Brewing Company in downtown Binghamton! Join us for a wonderful afternoon of food, fun, and music! You’ll have your choice of two seatings, where you’ll enjoy a “prix fixe” full course dinner, signature drink, cash bar, jazz standards, musical theatre favorites, and selections from the Great American Songbook...a wonderful way to banish the winter blues! 1:00pm & 4:00pm
